A rather uninteresting first free practice here in Germany with Pirelli tyres behaving as they should, while the air and track temperatures were rather low.
The only team in trouble was Ferrari with Alonso not setting a lap time because of his ECU which in the end needed to be changed and Massa also having problems with the car setup while a setting a time with 1.3 seconds slower than the two Silver Arrows who were once again the pace setters.
