Hamilton finishes on top in first practice of the Monaco Grand Prix.
After all the talks about how rivals will catch up with Mercedes this weekend the first practice session concluded yet another Mercedes 1-2 with Lewis Hamilton ahead of Nico Rosberg.
Rosberg was ahead in the first part of the practice session only to lose ground to Hamilton in second part and had to settle for 2nd place being just 0.2s off the pace.
The Silver Arrows were closely monitored by Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo who came 3rd and Fernando Alonso in 4th position.
