Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the free practice one of the US Grand Prix.
The Briton was followed by his teammate Nico Rosberg in the sister Mercedes. Jenson Button was third for McLaren who once again had a significant increase in speed and competitiveness compared with the previous grands prix.
Daniil Kvyat came fourth in his Toro Rosso just ahead of the second McLaren driven by Kevin Magnussen.
