Marussia announced on Tuesday that the team managed to pass all safety tests imposed by FIA in order to compete in the 2012 Formula 1 season.
On Monday Marussia took MR01 to the track and the car made its first laps around the beautiful Silverstone circuit but the shakedown took place before the team has passed the safety tests imposed by FIA.
Less than 24 hours later, the Formula1 team owned by the Russian cars manufacturer Marussia announced that they managed to pass all safety tests, so the new car can be used in the Australian Grand Prix next weekend.
Previously, the team passed 17 of the 18 tests required to be allowed to race.
This came as a very good news for the Russian team, which has encountered numerous problems in development of the new MR01. Failure to participate in the three test sessions this winter means that the team will address the first race of the season with very little information about the new car.
